XLNT.AT and ACHV.NET
Web address Shortening and Re-directs

Why shorten (and re-direct) web addresses (also known as URLs)?  On Twitter and some instant messaging services, there is a total character limit to send messages.  Using shortening (and then re-directing the shortened web address to the desired destination web address) can enable users to include a web address that would not otherwise fit.  Also, it can sometimes simply be more convenient to share a short string of characters as a web address than a lengthy, complex string of characters.
